  • Dr. Karen Shea

    Practice Owner and Veterinarian

    Karen is a 1997 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation, she joined the Sparta Small Animal Veterinary Clinic.  She is a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Coulee Region Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Information Network, and the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. She enjoys sports medicine and working with exotics such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals.

    Karen enjoys dog agility, crocheting, and geo caching.
  • Dr. Randy Pribbernow

    Practice Owner and Veterinarian

    Randy is a 1997 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.  He practiced large animal medicine in Bangor, Wisconsin from 1997 until 2005 before joining Sparta Small Animal Veterinary Clinic.  He is a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, Coulee Region Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and has previously served as the president of the Coulee Region Veterinary Medical Association.  He enjoys internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, geriatric medicine, and teaching clients about preventative health care.

    Dr. Randy enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, geo caching, and spending time outdoors.
  • Jana M.

    Inventory Manager & Office Manager

    Jana strives to ensure that our clients and patients have all of their needs met. She loves getting extra snuggles from patients as well as helping and educating clients about subjects that can benefit their furry friends.  Jana, along with her husband Brian and her son Logan, has 2 dogs, Lucy and Monty as well as 1 cat: Jack. She is a volunteer at the American Red Cross as a CPR/1st Aid instructor; and an active member of the Friends of Sparta Free Library, Maplewood Elementary's Parent-Teacher Group, is the Tiger Cub Den Leader for Pack 67 of Sparta, a coach with the Sparta Area Soccer Association, and is the Leader of the 86th Training Division's Family Readiness Group at Ft McCoy.

    Certified Veterinary Technician, Certified Veterinary Massage Rehabilitation Therapist

    Becky graduated from the Madison Area Technical College in 2003 with a degree in Veterinary Technology and received her Certification in Animal Massage from the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in 2007.  She has an orange, painfully shy cat named Neville.  She volunteers time at the AS/AP Cat Shelter once a month to trim the cats' nails. Becky's favorite part of her job is relieving an animal's discomfort with massage so they can resume their happy life, as free of pain as possible.  She also enjoys helping weak animals by hand feeding them if needed and giving them extra love and attention to boost their mood to encourage them to get better.

    Becky enjoys spending time with her family, dancing to 80's pop music, beading, making jewelry, and crafting.

    Certified Veterinary Technician

    Beth graduated from the Madison Area Technical College in May 2015 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys working with the clients here at SVC, knowing she can play a part in the health and well-being of their pets. Beth has one dog, a golden retriever mix named Sunny. She is excited to be a part of the SSAVC Team where she can sharpen her skills as a Technician.

  • Corinne T.

    Certified Veterinary Technician

    Corinne graduated from Penn Foster College in January 2016 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Corinne loves to help improve the lives of animals and their people, and especially enjoys assisting owners with behavioral issues of their dogs and cats. She has a dog named Maddi, three cats named Jake, Jinxy, and Gizmo, two parakeets named Artoo and Darwin, and a freshwater aquarium. She is also fostering one of our clinic cats, Twister, and Penny from the Monroe County Animal Shelter. Corinne hopes to further her education in animal behavior.

    Interests:
    Corinne enjoys horseback riding, agility & flyball with her dog Maddi, going to movies, kayaking, and music (both going to concerts and performing vocally).

    Kyle graduated from the Madison Area Technical College in May 2015 with a degree in Veterinary Technology.  Kyle loves being able to use the skills he learned in school while working at SSAVC, and is excited to form relationships with both our patients and clients. He is especially interested in animal dentistry and dental procedures. Kyle has a lab/collie mix named Foxie. He adopted Foxie from MATC while he was in school.

    Kyle loves being outdoors: camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, kayaking, and spending time in the sun. He also enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

    Alissa graduated from Globe University, LaCrosse in June 2013. She has been in the animal companion health field for nine years and has loved every minute of it. She loves being able to use her skills and know that she can help animals to the best of her ability. She is excited to see what this awesome adventure brings at SSAVC! She loves parasitololgy and hematology, and looks forward to working with those as much as possible. She enjoys her family, furbabies, and everything this field can offer.

    At work, Tammie enjoys seeing the people and their pets. She excels at helping clients and is an integral part of keeping the clinic running smoothly. Tammie along with her husband, Scott and their two sons, Jayden and Jordan share their home with 2 dogs; Asta and Maggie, and cat; Jerry.

    Kim joined our Team bringing a wealth of customer service experience. She excels at working with clients to make sure they receive what they need. Kim, a native of Michigan, lives in Sparta with her two children Collin and Callie. She is excited to focus on raising her children and getting settled into Sparta more permanently.

    Chelsea joined our Team eager to make a difference in both client's and patient's lives. She loves learning and is excited to become a working member at SSAVC. Chelsea currently lives in Onalaska with her son, Kameron, but is hoping to relocate to Sparta. She has a cat name Loonie Luna and a hooded rat named Kylo. Chelsea is pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology through Penn Foster to continue supporting SSAVC and serving the wonderful animals of the surrounding Sparta area.
